The 12 scholarships nobody's applying to right now
We dug through 200+ portals. Here are the ones with the best odds-to-effort ratio.
Most scholarship lists are recycled. The same 30 awards everyone applies to, with 8,000-person applicant pools and a 0.1% acceptance rate. That's not a scholarship — that's a lottery with extra steps.
We took a different approach. We ranked every scholarship in our vault by odds-to-effort ratio — how likely you are to win, divided by how much work it takes. Then we cut anything with more than 500 annual applicants.
What's left is 12 awards totaling $48,000 in possible payouts that almost nobody's touching. Some are local. Some are niche. One is literally for being left-handed. All of them are real.
The pattern: the more specific the criteria, the smaller the pool. A $2,000 scholarship for first-generation Filipino-American CS majors in the Pacific Northwest has maybe 40 applicants. A $2,000 generic 'leadership' scholarship has 4,000.
Spend your essay-writing time on the niche ones. The math is wildly in your favor.
